Where and when?

When will I get the official invitation?

In the coming months — with the full schedule, the venues and the RSVP. Nothing is needed from you today beyond saving the date.

Can I bring a guest?

Yes. A partner, a family member, a friend — whoever you'd like to share it with.

Can I bring more than one?

Reach out to us first so we can check availability. We'll do our best.

Which airport should I fly into?

Two are equally close, both about an hour from Šibenik:

• Split (SPU)
• Zadar (ZAD)

Check both when you're planning — prices and routes vary a lot between them.

How do I get from the airport to Šibenik?

• Private transfer

We'll share specific recommendations closer to the date.

When should I arrive?

At least a day or two before, to settle in and shake off the flight. If you can stay longer, we'd love to have you for the week beforehand.

Do I need a passport or a visa?

A valid passport, yes. Visa requirements depend on your nationality and how long you're staying, so check what applies to yours.

ETIAS — the European travel authorisation for visa-exempt travellers — is expected to be running by 2027. We'll share clearer guidance as the requirements firm up.

Where should I stay?

Plenty in and around Šibenik: apartments, boutique hotels, villas and larger hotels. We'll share the areas we'd suggest as we get closer.

Can you help me find somewhere?

Gladly. Guests are staying for different lengths of time and in different group sizes, so we can:

• suggest apartments based on how long you're staying
• group people together by how many fit in a place
• find options that suit your budget

Entirely optional — you're very welcome to sort your own.

Should I book early?

Yes. September is a busy month on the coast and Šibenik is small. Plan ahead.

Do I need a car?

We'd strongly recommend renting one, particularly if you're staying a few days or want to see more of Croatia. Driving here is straightforward.

Can I share a car with other guests?

Absolutely. We'll help connect guests who want to share a rental and split the cost.

Where will the wedding take place?

The ceremony will be in the Cathedral of St James in Šibenik — built entirely of stone between 1431 and 1535, and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its outer wall carries a frieze of seventy-one carved faces.

The celebration follows at a waterfront venue, and food and drinks throughout it are on us. Times and addresses come with the official invitation.

What should I wear?

There's no strict dress code. We'll send some guidelines with the invitation so you know roughly what to expect — festive and elegant is the spirit of it.

Worth knowing now: the ceremony is in the cathedral, so women should plan on something that covers the shoulders — sleeves, a shawl or a wrap.

Can hair and makeup be arranged?

Yes — Lorena is arranging a stylist for the group. Let her know as early as you can.

She needs to know how many people to plan for before she can settle on a vendor and hold the appointments, so the sooner she hears from you the better.

Would you like us to come earlier?

If you can, yes — we'd love you to arrive about a week before, so there's real time together rather than a rushed weekend. We completely understand that won't work for everyone.

What are you planning for that week?

A mix of optional activities and gatherings — welcome drinks, informal get-togethers, and a combined bachelor and bachelorette celebration.

We're also thinking about mini trips out to the islands as part of the celebrations. The Dalmatian coast is right there, and a day on the water together would be hard to beat.

We're still working it out, so what actually happens depends on who's interested.

How do I let you know I'm interested?

Leave us your name and email. When the plan is ready — what we're doing, roughly what each thing costs, and any booking deadlines — we'll send it to everyone who asked.

Does any of this commit me?

Not in the slightest. Everything outside the wedding day is optional, and asking for the plan only tells us roughly how many people might come. Nothing is booked and no price is fixed until we've come back to you — and you can still say no then.

Why do you need to know so early?

Some activities offer group rates, and others have to be reserved well ahead — especially for a large group. When we send the plan, we'll flag which ones need numbers by a certain date.

Is it worth staying longer?

Very much so. There's a great deal beyond Šibenik — the islands, the national parks, the beaches, the old towns — and staying on lets you see it at your own pace rather than in a hurry.

We'll share our own recommendations, including where to eat, as we get closer.

What currency, and should I bring cash?

Croatia uses the euro (€).

Bring some in cash. Cards are taken at most hotels, restaurants and larger businesses, but plenty of smaller places don't accept them — local markets, beach bars, family-run places.

Do people speak English?

Widely, yes — particularly in hotels, restaurants and anywhere along the Dalmatian coast.
